About Palermo Airport
The Palermo airport, named after Giovanni Falcone and Paolo Borsellino, judges killed by the mafia, is located in Punta Raisi, in the municipality of Cinisi, 35 km west of the regional capital. It is the second busiest airport in Sicily by number of passengers, and the eighth in Italy according to the statistics published by Assaeroporti in 2024 (8,900,000 passengers).
