Mission and Activities of Custonaci Enduro Club

The club was founded to promote a passion for off-road motorcycles and competitions in northwestern Sicily.

It focuses on organizing and participating in enduro events at regional and national levels, enhancing the Custonaci area (TP), rich in natural environments ideal for this sport.
For example, in the past, Custonaci has hosted Italian and European Enduro Championship races, organized by the club.

Custonaci Hosts the Italian Round of the 2026 EnduroGP World Championship

Custonaci is ready to make history in motor sports. From April 10–12, 2026, the city in the province of Trapani will host the Italian round of the EnduroGP World Championship, the most prestigious international event for off-road motorcycle enthusiasts.

For the first time, a World Championship round lands in Sicily, bringing top enduro riders, official teams, international media, and thousands of fans to the island.
This extraordinary achievement has been made possible thanks to the efforts of the Custonaci Enduro Club, the Italian Motorcycle Federation, and the municipal administration, who have worked together to bring this major event to the heart of the territory.

A Unique Course Between Sea and Mountains

The race route will pass through the stunning natural landscapes of Custonaci: from marble quarries to the slopes of Mount Cofano, through dirt trails and breathtaking sea views of Cornino.
The terrain is ideal for enduro, offering high-level technical challenges while showcasing rare natural beauty.

Special tests will challenge riders with fast sections, rocks, climbs, and spectacular descents, delighting both the public and enthusiasts.

An International Sports and Tourism Event

The World Championship round is not only a moment of top-level sport but also an extraordinary opportunity to promote tourism in western Sicily.
For three days, Custonaci and neighboring towns will become a hub for operators, visitors, and media from around the world.

During the event, the town center will host the official paddock, expo areas for brands, entertainment zones, music, and street food.
The goal is to combine the passion for motorcycles with the discovery of the territory, creating a unique experience for riders and spectators.

Custonaci Enduro Club’s Satisfaction

"It’s a dream come true," say the Custonaci Enduro Club organizers.
"Bringing the EnduroGP World Championship to Custonaci is recognition of the work and passion we have dedicated to this sport for years. We are ready to welcome athletes and the public with the enthusiasm that characterizes our land."

Three Days of Spectacle and Passion

The event is scheduled for April 10, 11, and 12, 2026: three days of racing, excitement, and pure adrenaline that will transform Custonaci into the world capital of enduro.

Updated information on the program, schedules, tickets, and hospitality will be available in the coming months on the official Championship website and Custonaci Enduro Club channels.

What to Do in Custonaci in April 2026

  • Hiking in Monte Cofano Nature Reserve
Enjoy spring temperatures for trekking or walks along the reserve trails: sea-mountain views, Cornino Bay panorama, and fresh air.
  • Visit Grotta Mangiapane and Marble Quarries
The cave is one of the most evocative places in Custonaci: houses carved into rock, history, and light excursions.
You can also explore nearby marble quarries and learn about the area’s historic relationship with this resource.

Custonaci continues to host an important marble basin: it is considered the “first marble hub in Sicily, second in Italy and Europe,” with about 62 km² of extraction.
Among the most prized types is Perlato di Sicilia, an ivory marble with brown veins, sourced from Custonaci.

The Museum of Marble and Caves is a key reference for learning about marble and local quarries.
Tours and quarry visits are available, sometimes combined with promotional events.

  • Walks Along the Cornino Coast / Bay
Even if the water is still chilly, enjoy walks, sea air, panoramic stops, or a sunset aperitif along the coast.
  • Explore Custonaci’s Historic Center and Sanctuary of Maria Santissima
Visit the small town, local crafts, and perhaps a meal in a typical bar or trattoria.
The sanctuary was built in the 16th century and later expanded, featuring three naves, pointed arches, polychrome marble, 18th-century frescoes, and a baroque main altar.
  • Local Festivals
Late April may see the Festa di San Giuseppe Artigiano, a local celebration with votive altars, bread of St. Joseph, music, and games.
The larger Borghi dei Tesori Fest usually takes place in early May.
